Well by now we have all had a chance to read the Penny saver...aka the Camden News. We thought it would be a good time to remind folks of a few fun errrr not so nice truths about a few things in the Penny Saver and involving a little Victory triangle.
1). 1/2 page ad by Kris Brogan? Really? the last printer Kris Brogan made contact with while running for office as a republican never got paid, in fact Kris continues to carry this campaign debt to this day. Lets hope the Camden News got their money upfront, or was there even a charge for this color, 1/2 page ad?
2). Mr. Warren Kaari has a letter to the editor ironically its the first letter in this section....we say "ironically" for a reason and you will understand once we connect all the dots. Warren is the husband to Anne Kaari- remember Anne Kaari? She is on the ViNa board and was the one who made the motion for the ViNa board to buy the defunked Papa's gift cards. Anne and Warren Kaari are also investors in the defunked Papa's Pizza so they knew it was on its way out when Anne made the motion...a motion she should never have made as she never disclosed she was an investor in Papa's! Mr. Kaari has the nerve to point out a mistake Barb Johnson made with campaign funds that not only got paid back but also was made right......NOBODY involved with the Karri/Brogan gift card scandal made that right! Nobody involved even batted an eye! Mr. Kaari I believe the best term for you is "Hypocrite" if your unsure of its meaning roll over and look at your wife!
3). The Camden News was the one of two winners in the Papa's pizza gift card scam! If you remember right the deal was that for every gift card purchased Kris and Mick Brogan would give a percentage to the Camden News! Ohhhh is that how Kris Brogans campaign got such a huge ad??? So the money that ViNa put out for gift cards that never could be redeemed went into the pockets of Camden News and Mick and Kris Brogan! Is this called "funneling money" oh who knows, its wrong that's the important piece right?
4). Warren and Anne Kaari have long been referred to behind their backs as the "self appointed King and Queen of Victory" and for good reason. You see they have a history of trying to bully people into doing things their way just like......yep you got it! KRIS BROGAN! wow amazing isn't it? So now you have Kris Brogan, Anne Kaari, and Duane Atter all involved and sitting on the ViNa board...where do they meet and pay rent to? Well the Warren of course! Who owns the Warren? Duane Atter of course, and out of these three how many were investors in Papa's Pizza? - Yep ALL THREE!
So when a neighborhood group has money and your business does not you can create a simple scam like these three players did! You simply get other investors of your failing business to vote for the community to pay you for a service you have no intentions of fulfilling, you know like sell them gift cards to a business that at the time of the sale of the cards was already having to pay upfront for services and groceries from other vendors because they had not been paying their bills! Of course immediately once you have filed bankruptcy and everyone got the screws put to them you should then file plans to try and get the citizens to vote you in to run the CITY? hey why not right?
Its an ugly little triangle that Mick & Kris Brogan, Anne & Warren Kaari, Duane Atter & Rob Jacoby, and the Camden News have going on. while no candidate is perfect or saintly, we would rather not vote for someone with a financial history like Kris Brogan has and we certainly would rather not vote for someone as slippery in business affairs as Kris Brogan is and we all but laugh at Warren Kaari calling out someone for unethical behavior!
