Every once in while Duane the pocket rat inadvertently stabs ol Kris Brogan right in the back. That was the case today when Duane started posting old copies of the North News around Facebook. A couple of our readers quickly checked out some of the old copies and low and behold if it didn't have a quote from Kris Brogan saying if she didn't get the DFL caucus endorsement she wouldn't campaign! And now we have Kris Brogan and her staff saying that was never the case, she said she would suspend her campaign. Once again play with the words Kris until you get what your aiming at ha?
Duane has been a busy little bumble head on Facebook, he even took a crack at someone that called Kris out on her lies on one of his posts saying, "You can debate or just read the post that I posted for voter information. If you would like to debate, try creating a thread. Thanks." Funny how that works when Duane himself has crashed many thread about other candidates by trying to debate and stir up trouble! It does our hearts good to see the smart people of North Minneapolis calling a fool out on her lies! Keep up the good work. From what we can see Kris Brogan is doing a last minute cramming of her campaign right down the people of north Minneapolis throats and people seem to be getting tired of it as the only likes she has been getting are from Dr. Robby and the pocket rat!
When does the pocket rat leave for his all boy retreat over seas? Must be soon its almost a full moon!

Its become hard for us to keep up with all the e-mails we have received so once again we will take some time to try and answer your questions the best we can. Forgive us if your e-mail didn't make the cut as we tried to answer the e-mails with the most asked questions.

I love reading the blog please don't stop. We gave money to the Brogans when the pizza place was having financial trouble and no we did not ever get paid back. I know that Duane has said on Facebook a few times that he got paid back but it is not true that everyone did. We felt pushed into giving and did it so that we could remain at peace with Kris and her husband. Please keep telling the story because most people don't have a clue of what has gone on in Victory neighborhood. My question is do you know if the Brogans will move if she does not win?

Do you know that Mick use to stand in the window of papas pizza and scream at cars that parked in front of the shop? He screamed at us once when we went into get our prescription and then said he was sorry he thought we went into the car repair place. Once while I was having lunch in papas Kris and Mick got into a screaming match by the till and I thought they would kill each other. Mick has been known to cause a scene in public because of his temper. Kris is no angle either as she told my wife off once for saying that papas should do delivery and more people would order. Kris always blows up and then wants people to forgive her later after she cools down. Seems they are a good match for each other.

Yes 1832 we have had MANY reports of the Brogans and their blow ups! We have had reports of Mick being arrested after a blow up the Wells Fargo Bank parking lot because he pulled a gun on a customer. Its no secret that these two are a couple of hot heads and one day someone will not take to kindly to their behavior!

We wanted to know if you have seen or have a copy of the e-mail that the Brogans sent around our neighborhood requesting we all call 311 on the auto repair shop on the corner? I wish I had saved a copy of it but it requested that we keep calling every day we see his customers park in front of his building or any place else on Thomas or 42nd. My husband and I get our car fixed there and we didn't want anything to do with this. Thank you again for the information.

I am wondering if the Brogans lost their home in south Minneapolis to foreclosure. I over heard a conversation one night about how Kris and Mick Brogan mortgaged their house to start the pizza place. Is this true and if so that would be a long list of unpaid debt starting with the house and the pizza place and the prior campaign debt?

Yes we believe it to be true, We say "believe" as the only proof we have is the foreclosure documents on the south Minneapolis property and that it took the sheriff to remove them. We have no idea what the money got spent on. There is also a rumor that Kris Brogan had a small inheritance that she lost to the Papa's fiasco also. These are glowing examples of why we at the Brogan files don't think Kris Brogan should be in politics, at least not when we are talking about our city's budget! maybe if she ran for dog catcher we could support her. The very odd past of Kris Brogans campaign is that she calls out another person for being what she sees as fiscally irresponsible and yet Kris and Mick have lost a house, a business, and taken money from a neighborhood association knowing they were closing! That's seems like the ultimate in fiscally irresponsible behavior to us!

Its simple. We wrote about Mikey to show that this is a family of trouble and not the shinning example of the Cleavers that Kris Brogan wanted everyone in North to believe. Mikey was also a big part of Papa's Pizza and although his name was not on the documents he took part in a lot of the negative things that went down on 42 and Thomas! He is not a minor with a snotty nose, he is a snotty nose adult who still depends on mom and dad to tell him what to think!

While other candidates for this election spent a rainy evening out in the streets going door to door visiting with constituents, Kris Brogan spent the night on Facebook passing off more misinformation and smack talk about other candidates.
At one point when Kris Brogan was being questioned as to why she was so busy bashing the other candidate and not putting out real information about her platform Kris Brogan tried to excuse her posts by saying that as the incumbent in a political race it was her job to bash the other candidate...um we don't think so Kris! Your job, if you were a real candidate and were really concerned about the North side would be to come up with REAL solutions to the problems, not just stir up problems!
The more the voting public questions Kris Brogan on her politics the more Kris seems to attack and lash out. This can only cause one to wonder what would happen at city hall when other council members disagree with Kris? Will she be representing North Minneapolis by lashing out at other members? Will she turn Mick loose on people that disagree with her? This has been the Brogan M.O. here in North. When Kris was unhappy with loosing the DFL caucus nod she sent Mick into the Lions club meeting in a rage. Mick resigned from the club because of how his wife was treated!
As for spreading misinformation and half truths, even when called out on it in a public form and websites have been posted to show her misinformation Kris Brogan refuses to admit to it, she just shrugs it off as another attack. In this day of internet and computers one can find out just about anything on-line and many north side residents are doing just that. One gets the feeling that Kris is really about anything that puts the city as a whole in the wrong. A classic example of this was when a constitute brought up an issue in regards to storm sew run off tax and rather then research what she was talking about before getting back to this person Kris jumped in with a statement of the city being in the wrong...one of her Kool aide drinkers even jumped in saying it was unfair to be taxed because she had no control over the rain?? HELLO LADY, who should pay for our out dated storm sewer?? would that be the city? Oh ok, yeah the city pays and who is the city?? That's right honey WE are the city, the tax payers!
So as you can see this circular talk with nothing to back it up can at times can make it look like Kris Brogan is concerned about the city of Minneapolis but when you follow a logical train of thought it leads no where with Kris Brogan. Its all just negative propaganda meant to scare people into voting for a candidate that has nothing to stand on!
While we count down the days until election we realize over and over that this blog to inform the voting public was the right thing to do all along! We give credit to anyone that can follow a Brogan post on Facebook and see that in the end Kris has just posted meaningless words and used circular talk because she thinks she is smarter then the voters of the 4th ward and can baffle them with bullshit!

Get out your boots its getting deep in here!
We have been reading all things Kris Brogan this week as we approach the election. It is not a surprise to us that Kris Brogan continues to talk and post a lot but say nothing! Her words on policy seem shallow and empty and a perfect example came once again yesterday when Kris Started posting about the gun violence in North Minneapolis.
Kris Brogan seems capable of identifying problems and she seems capable of writing them out but if you read what is not in her posts it would be content on the "how" to solve a problem. currently Kris Brogans ideas on solving gun violence seem to either be already implemented or have been implemented and failed. There are is no new content in her ideas she posts and that's typical of Kris Brogan.
The facts are that its easy to sit back and play arm chair quarterback when called out to come up with new and different ideas Kris Brogan and her gang go on the defense and start attacking either the other posters or they attack the process of selection for endorsing a candidate. It seems to be a policy of talk and post a lot and hope nobody questions you, but if they do quick shift the focus to anything but policy!
As we have pointed out in other posts Kris Brogan tends to use out dated facts and misrepresent those facts to get her point across. Even when its pointed out to her in a public form Kris chooses to not correct her mistakes but rather keep speaking and saying the same thing in a different way. Again the problem with this type of political gaming is that if Kris Brogan did make it into office she will find out that her co-workers wont tolerate this type of juggling of facts and in the end the looser will be the North side of Minneapolis.
We also have concerns about how simplistic Kris Brogan and her cool aide drinkers seem to think government works. In several posts both by Kris and her followers its clear they believe that Kris Brogan can just plop her butt in the city council chair and wave a magic wand and all things good will happen in North Minneapolis. Kris Brogan seems to have forgotten from her time in the mayors office how one needs certain traits like getting along with others, working with people you don't care for, and the big one COMPROMISSE to get things done in government. All traits that Kris Brogan has shown over and over she is not good at! Not one of the current city council members, the mayor, or anyone from past city government has come through to endorse Kris Brogan or her campaign. This is telling in its self as some of these people will need to work with her should she pull off a win.
One last thing to note this morning is the rehashing of the fact that other candidates won't debate Kris Brogan and that every meeting for endorsing of candidates seems to get played off as inadequate or of little value only after Kris Brogan is not chosen as their candidate of choice for endorsement. One must wonder why Kris Continues to attend these endorsing meetings if she feels so strongly that they matter not? As for other candidates not wanting to debate her one must also wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that Kris Brogan has proven to be untruthful when it comes to campaign trail gatherings. By this we remind our readers that Kris Brogan and gang attended all the meetings leading up to the DFL caucus, they had just as much say in the planning as the other candidate did. They participated and paid to be a part of the DFL caucus and when Kris Brogan was asked in the caucus if she would abide by the decision of the good people who gave of their time she said she would.....she then filed to run for office basically ignoring what the people had to say, she down played the importance of the DFL caucus, and she lied! So why would any candidate who's track record is public knowledge want to debate this type of foolishness? When Kris Brogan announced she would not follow the DFL endorsement and that she filed by petition both she and her staff stated that over 200 people signed a petition and brought it to her and so she felt forced to run but later, yesterday to be exact both Kris Brogan and her staff stated on social media that Kris Brogan went out and sought those signatures on the petition...see how everything seems to change with Kris Brogan to fit her agenda at the time???
Its all of this combined that cause people to wonder why Kris Brogan wants to be a part of running the city? Is it really for the honest and upfront reason she has said it is OR is it the reason she gave another community member when she said "Mick needs health insurance and we sure need the income".

Dirty is as Dirty does!
Most people who run for public office have pretty thick skin. Kris Brogan and her team of goofs seem to be missing this from their gene pool! Case example would be the last twenty fours hours on the Facebook page Victory Neighborhood.
We awoke this this morning to several e-mails again regarding a member of the Victory Neighborhood page who had his post congratulating our current city council person on the Star Tribunes endorsement removed from the Victory Page. Although we are not able to be a part of this page we are able to see some of what is posted and what we saw from this poster was in no way negative. We find it funny that Kris Brogan's number one buffoon is also an administrator of this page....hum this is not a hard one to figure out is it?
Most upfront and civil politicians would have long ago called the pocket rat into their office and reminded them that any actions or comments would gravely misrepresent the politician in public but Kris Brogan seems to ok with Duane's behavior and his angry, negative attacks on her opponent! We here at the Brogan Files think this speak volumes about who Kris Brogan really is as a person and who she would be as a politician!
On another note we here at The Brogan Files have received quite enough e-mails containing photos, lic. plate numbers, and other various information about this person and his behavior at the Theo Wirth Quaking Bog. We have stated before and will state again that we will not publish these pictures or the details of the lurid acts that he is accused of doing on this public property. We would recommend that those concerned should bring the evidence into the police station and file a report or start another blog. If his partner can't keep him at home and out of the bush we sure can't!
we have also received five e-mails about Mr. Warren Kaari "stocking" the other candidate by hanging out in her alley and in front of her house. We can no more do anything about this then we can about Kris Brogan running for office. If you have proof or are concerned please contact the police department and run it by them.

Most upfront and civil politicians would have long ago called the pocket rat into their office and reminded them that any actions or comments would gravely misrepresent the politician in public but Kris Brogan seems to ok with Duane's behavior and his angry, negative attacks on her opponent! We here at the Brogan Files think this speak volumes about who Kris Brogan really is as a person and who she would be as a politician!
On another note we here at The Brogan Files have received quite enough e-mails containing photos, lic. plate numbers, and other various information about this person and his behavior at the Theo Wirth Quaking Bog. We have stated before and will state again that we will not publish these pictures or the details of the lurid acts that he is accused of doing on this public property. We would recommend that those concerned should bring the evidence into the police station and file a report or start another blog. If his partner can't keep him at home and out of the bush we sure can't!
we have also received five e-mails about Mr. Warren Kaari "stocking" the other candidate by hanging out in her alley and in front of her house. We can no more do anything about this then we can about Kris Brogan running for office. If you have proof or are concerned please contact the police department and run it by them.

The Brogan Spin Dr.
Its interesting to us here at The Brogan Files the spin that Warren Kaari put in his letter to the editor of the Penny Saver, aka Camden News. After reading and researching the lawsuite filed against Ms. Johnson it was interesting to see it was filed by none other then Warren Kaari! I wonder why he left this important fact out of the letter? Could it be that it would look like continual harassment of Ms. Johnson?
Also we note that after reading the statutes 211B.12 just how vague this statute is in the fact that it states,
"The following are permitted expenditures when made for politicalpurposes:
(1) salaries, wages, and fees;
(3) campaign advertising;
(4) printing;"
Not to mention that Mr. Kaari failed to also note in his letter that most of Mr. Kaari's complaints again Ms. Johnson were found in Ms. Johnsons favor. We have copied and pasted it right from the findings below!

Finally we want to leave you with the exact wording of the three judge panel. This is what they ended with- "

The Whole true and nothing but the.......
Well by now we have all had a chance to read the Penny saver...aka the Camden News. We thought it would be a good time to remind folks of a few fun errrr not so nice truths about a few things in the Penny Saver and involving a little Victory triangle.
1). 1/2 page ad by Kris Brogan? Really? the last printer Kris Brogan made contact with while running for office as a republican never got paid, in fact Kris continues to carry this campaign debt to this day. Lets hope the Camden News got their money upfront, or was there even a charge for this color, 1/2 page ad?
2). Mr. Warren Kaari has a letter to the editor ironically its the first letter in this section....we say "ironically" for a reason and you will understand once we connect all the dots. Warren is the husband to Anne Kaari- remember Anne Kaari? She is on the ViNa board and was the one who made the motion for the ViNa board to buy the defunked Papa's gift cards. Anne and Warren Kaari are also investors in the defunked Papa's Pizza so they knew it was on its way out when Anne made the motion...a motion she should never have made as she never disclosed she was an investor in Papa's! Mr. Kaari has the nerve to point out a mistake Barb Johnson made with campaign funds that not only got paid back but also was made right......NOBODY involved with the Karri/Brogan gift card scandal made that right! Nobody involved even batted an eye! Mr. Kaari I believe the best term for you is "Hypocrite" if your unsure of its meaning roll over and look at your wife!
3). The Camden News was the one of two winners in the Papa's pizza gift card scam! If you remember right the deal was that for every gift card purchased Kris and Mick Brogan would give a percentage to the Camden News! Ohhhh is that how Kris Brogans campaign got such a huge ad??? So the money that ViNa put out for gift cards that never could be redeemed went into the pockets of Camden News and Mick and Kris Brogan! Is this called "funneling money" oh who knows, its wrong that's the important piece right?
4). Warren and Anne Kaari have long been referred to behind their backs as the "self appointed King and Queen of Victory" and for good reason. You see they have a history of trying to bully people into doing things their way just like......yep you got it! KRIS BROGAN! wow amazing isn't it? So now you have Kris Brogan, Anne Kaari, and Duane Atter all involved and sitting on the ViNa board...where do they meet and pay rent to? Well the Warren of course! Who owns the Warren? Duane Atter of course, and out of these three how many were investors in Papa's Pizza? - Yep ALL THREE!
So when a neighborhood group has money and your business does not you can create a simple scam like these three players did! You simply get other investors of your failing business to vote for the community to pay you for a service you have no intentions of fulfilling, you know like sell them gift cards to a business that at the time of the sale of the cards was already having to pay upfront for services and groceries from other vendors because they had not been paying their bills! Of course immediately once you have filed bankruptcy and everyone got the screws put to them you should then file plans to try and get the citizens to vote you in to run the CITY? hey why not right?
Its an ugly little triangle that Mick & Kris Brogan, Anne & Warren Kaari, Duane Atter & Rob Jacoby, and the Camden News have going on. while no candidate is perfect or saintly, we would rather not vote for someone with a financial history like Kris Brogan has and we certainly would rather not vote for someone as slippery in business affairs as Kris Brogan is and we all but laugh at Warren Kaari calling out someone for unethical behavior!

We have received several e-mails this week asking legitimate questions about some of the goings on at Papa's and ViNa meetings. We will attempt to answer them in a blog format to make sure that everyone gets the answers they requested prior to the election.
Q. Who are the board members that voted to buy PaPa's gift certificates and were investors in Papa's?
A. Ann K was the person who made the motion to buy the certificates and Duane A. was the person who seconded it. Both invested and are listed in the Papa's bankruptcy as unpaid investors of $2,000.00
Q. Do you know that a member of Brogans campaign hangs out at the Quacking Bog to partake in random sex acts?
A. I'm sorry but that's not news. We know all about it and have pictures also but we want to stick with the facts that are campaign related. If you have the pictures also please start a blog and post them. The park police have been notified about this and are watching the property and collecting lic. plates numbers as we understand it! this type of behavior saddens us because we have several LGBT friends that have worked hard to change the perception that the LGBT community is about deviant behavior and this type of public bad behavior simply sets their movement back 40 years!

A. If you have read the blog you know that Kris and Mick Brogan have a history of retaliating against people that stand up to them OR don't do as Kris and Mick tell them too! We have to live here after this election is over and feel we are providing a service to the community by exposing all of this prior to election day!
Q. Why did only some people get invited to the NoMiHomecoming?
A. We don't know. We can assume a lot of things but the reality is we simply do not know. I would ask Duane Ater as he was one of the hosts of the event.
Q. Why have Duane and Robert become such angry individuals in the last few months?
A. Haa Haaa, um well if you were under Kris and Mick Brogans thumb wouldn't you be angry? We have no other answer for this question. We can say that if you sit down and listen to Kris Brogan you will see her campaign is based on anger, misinformation, and half truths and in our opinion this type of negative behavior wears on people.
Q. Do you know if Kris Brogan has any more low income housing planned for North Minneapolis?
A. Well right off the bat we will tell you that Kris Brogan is a board member with the RS Eden group that has several low income properties that house ex cons. Kris also has a history with Alliance housing and has some projects in the works with both nonprofits.

Brogan Campaign Headquarters New after hours party spot
Do we all remember a few months back when an after hours bar on Fremont and 39th became a weapon for the Brogan Campaign against the current city council person? We here at The Brogan Files remember all too well how the pocket rat, aka Duane and Kris Brogan took aim and used every snotty snide remark they could to make the shooting at this illegal after hour bar the fault of current city council members. What made this spot an illegal after hours bar? Well for one it sold alcohol without a liquor license, two it charged people to get in, and three it sold food without a food handlers license.
Well that's what went on at Brogan Headquarters and the Warren this past weekend. It was disguised as a legit event but we are certain many of the party goers didn't know that Kris Brogan and Duane didn't get a city permit for this closed party that charged for its drinks or any of the other charges party goes put out cash for. If one of your loved ones was killed by a drunk driver on their way home would you still think it was no big deal? Who do you think Duane would blame for a death if he wasn't the one running the show?
Is this really a big deal? Well lets just say that if the table had been turned you can bet your bottom dollar the old pocket rat would be all over social media steaming it up with why this was the fault of the current city council person! If this was an African American group doing this you can be sure both Mick Brogan and Duane would be all over it! Calling it out as trouble and as illegal! At a recent North gathering we were shocked that quite a few people had such a low opinion of what the Warren has become, some artist even commented that it had now became all about the money for Duane.
So the party was once again a typical Kris Brogan ordeal! As we have said many times before, the rules and laws don't apply to Kris and Mick Brogan and Duane only complains when things don't go his way! If this was an even held in the ball room of the old bank building on 42nd and Lyndale and Duane and Kris got a whiff of it you can be damn sure they would not only post it all over social media sites, they would have made a half dozen calls to the connection Kris Brogan used to make Nygia's life hell! Yes Kris and Mick we know of the connections you used to make Nygia's life hell, we have the names!
So once again, Kris Brogan and her gang want to you to believe they are going to take over city hall and make North Minneapolis a utopia have shown their cards! Its never been about making North a Utopia for you or us, or all~ its been about making it a Utopia for anyone that toes the line with Kris and Mick Brogan and their second in command, the pocket rat!

More Brogan Signs in all the wrong places!
We received an e-mail saying that a little corner store on 42nd and Fremont had a Kris Brogan sign placed in the flower bed of the store. So not wanting to miss a great photo and wanting to let the owner know we would never do business with someone that supported the likes of Kris Brogan we jumped in the pickup to head over!
When we arrived we were able to watch as the sign was coming down and listen in on a conversation between what looked like the owner and what appeared to be a customer. The customer was saying they didn't like that the owner was pandering to the Kris Brogan campaign and the other man holding the freshly plucked sign was saying he didn't give anyone permission to place it on his property! We here at The Brogan Files find it quite odd knowing Kris Brogans history of being shall we say, less then honest with the North Minneapolis community, that she and her little gang would not try these little slip ups to get her name out there!
We can't help but wonder how many more signs have been placed in yards that people don't know about or that people have been miss lead about? If you spot a Kris Brogan sign in an odd spot please let us know right away so we can investigate it! Knowing the way Kris and Mick Brogan have conducted themselves by threatening people please let us know of anyone you think may have been intimidated into placing a Kris Brogan sign in their yard also.

Kris Brogan will do anything for attention!
As we drove around this evening checking out North Minneapolis and counting political signs we got a glace of two Kris Brogan for 4th ward political signs put up on Hennepin Co. property! We almost couldn't believe our eyes but there they were clear as day. One was posted on the fence at the 44th Street location that once was a groc. store and the second was at the library!
It really should not be a total shocker as its been made crystal clear by Kris Brogan and her gang that they don't have to play by the rules and that they don't plan to do so! They have done such dirty politicking on Facebook with made up names and false claims against other candidates, but then this is what we have been saying all along, Kris Brogan does things KRIS BROGANS way and to hell with anyone else!
The signs have been removed and will make a great fire to roast marshmallows by that's for sure! Gr%=Hl4 = Talking out of both sides of your mouth & butt!
Gr%=HI4 is the sound we here at The Brogan Files imagine is coming from Kris Brogan talking out of both sides of her mouth and her butt at the same time! A recent post on social media by Kris Brogan is a prime example!
The post was done last night, do you think Kris is reading our blog? We can only hope! Here is the start of it,
Kris Brogan: FACT: According to the City of Minneapolis’ Department of Community Planning and Economic Development, North Minneapolis has lost 30,000 residents over the past 20 years.
WOW- its a fact, Kris Brogan said it was so that must make it true???? OR has she taken another whack at taking things out of context again? You see Kris Brogan fails to tell us where this information can be found, but she just states its fact.
Can you imagine what North Minneapolis would look like today if 30,000 people left North Minneapolis with that mess of a stop light at Lyndale and Dowling? My goodness Kris the people would still be backed up to Crystal with cars loaded with mattresses and box springs! Do these numbers include the felons and other troubled tenants that reside in the low income and supportive housing that Kris Brogan has made her living selling in North Minneapolis? Its not uncommon for these type of properties to kick out tenants that re-offend or use drugs and alcohol again is it Kris?
Kris Brogan has made her living off the poor and the nonprofits building in North Minneapolis, yet continued on in another post about how awful it was that the shops on Lowery had such shoe string budgets that they couldn't afford to chip in for city garbage cans - REALLY Kris? Do you think dragging more low income and troubled offenders to North Minneapolis is going to help shop keepers build better business? Lets face it people, those in low income housing and halfway housing are not going to keep your business afloat! They are on very limited incomes from.....hummmm SSI, SSDI, and welfare. NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT, its just a fact of LIFE! If Kris Brogan wants to build stronger businesses in North the last thing she should be doing is dragging in more buildings for Alliance and RS Eden, she should be trying to build businesses....but remember what happened when Kris and Mick Brogan threw their hat in the pizza making business....a lot of community members lost a lot of money investing that's for sure! We wonder if any of those investors are among the 30,000 that fled?
So why not sit out of the game for a bit Kris Brogan and learn a few things about business? Kris Brogans famous line is, "I've had the privilege of serving this community for many years as the co-proprietor of Papa’s"- um yeah, I had a lemonade stand once as a kid Kris and that does not make me an expert on business, in fact my lemonade stand is about as productive today as Papa's!
Because we are not members of the Facebook page Minneapolis Politics, or some others we have to rely on other residents to send us these great Kris Brogan fallacies. We mention this because our in box has been quite full as of late with all things Kris Brogan and people wanting to know what is really going on! The post was done last night, do you think Kris is reading our blog? We can only hope! Here is the start of it,
Kris Brogan: FACT: According to the City of Minneapolis’ Department of Community Planning and Economic Development, North Minneapolis has lost 30,000 residents over the past 20 years.
WOW- its a fact, Kris Brogan said it was so that must make it true???? OR has she taken another whack at taking things out of context again? You see Kris Brogan fails to tell us where this information can be found, but she just states its fact.
Can you imagine what North Minneapolis would look like today if 30,000 people left North Minneapolis with that mess of a stop light at Lyndale and Dowling? My goodness Kris the people would still be backed up to Crystal with cars loaded with mattresses and box springs! Do these numbers include the felons and other troubled tenants that reside in the low income and supportive housing that Kris Brogan has made her living selling in North Minneapolis? Its not uncommon for these type of properties to kick out tenants that re-offend or use drugs and alcohol again is it Kris?
Kris Brogan has made her living off the poor and the nonprofits building in North Minneapolis, yet continued on in another post about how awful it was that the shops on Lowery had such shoe string budgets that they couldn't afford to chip in for city garbage cans - REALLY Kris? Do you think dragging more low income and troubled offenders to North Minneapolis is going to help shop keepers build better business? Lets face it people, those in low income housing and halfway housing are not going to keep your business afloat! They are on very limited incomes from.....hummmm SSI, SSDI, and welfare. NOT THAT THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT, its just a fact of LIFE! If Kris Brogan wants to build stronger businesses in North the last thing she should be doing is dragging in more buildings for Alliance and RS Eden, she should be trying to build businesses....but remember what happened when Kris and Mick Brogan threw their hat in the pizza making business....a lot of community members lost a lot of money investing that's for sure! We wonder if any of those investors are among the 30,000 that fled?
So why not sit out of the game for a bit Kris Brogan and learn a few things about business? Kris Brogans famous line is, "I've had the privilege of serving this community for many years as the co-proprietor of Papa’s"- um yeah, I had a lemonade stand once as a kid Kris and that does not make me an expert on business, in fact my lemonade stand is about as productive today as Papa's!
Because we are not members of the Facebook page Minneapolis Politics, or some others we have to rely on other residents to send us these great Kris Brogan fallacies. We mention this because our in box has been quite full as of late with all things Kris Brogan and people wanting to know what is really going on! Low Income Housing brought to you by Kris Brogan!
Kris Brogan wants us to believe that should she become the next city council member for the 4th ward that she would fill in empty lots with "family homes" and all will be better in North Minneapolis. But Kris Brogan has made a living dragging in low income and homeless residents from all over the city to North Minneapolis. Now one may say, "Well even the low income people need housing" and that's true, but also remember that Kris Brogan and her gang are running this race on the idea that the current city council member has not done enough for the "family's" and about the "crime" and that the good people of North are fleeing!
Alliance Inc., one of Kris Brogan's number one clients has done more then their share of dragging in homeless and "very low income residence. This is not tough information to prove, just look at their mission statement below!
One of the statement that Alliance has made recently is that "Only 50% of the residents in the North Minneapolis Gateway lofts project are from North Minneapolis. That means that the other 50% are moving here from?? See a pattern? Even if what Kris Brogan has stated on her political page is true and people are "fleeing" North Minneapolis those facts don't add up to 50% of Alliances residents move here from other parts of the city- or is it that as Kris Brogan makes her living selling out North Minneapolis to low income high-rises that the crime goes up and the homeowners then flee the north side? Either way this statement of hers is so lopsided it would never stand on its own merits!
Also please keep in mind that Kris Brogan and Alliance tagged Hennepin County for $341,520.000 in contaminated ground clean up for the Gateway Lofts project....that's your tax dollars at work! Would we as residence get that kind of money from the County for clean up?
This is just one of Kris Brogan's clients building north Minneapolis into a mecca for low income housing! Remember her number two client is RS Eden who not only has several buildings in North Minneapolis but they bring in the felons and the residents tied up in court for the very same nuisance crimes to people and property that we are fighting to get under control! So we are to believe that every client that enters these facilities in North Minneapolis will rise to the challenge of changing their lives? Its simply not going to happen....maybe, just maybe some of the rise in crime in North could be computed to all these low income properties! Its kind of like building a sober house on top of a bar....do we really believe that the residents of the sober house are going to stay sober? Yes a few will, the ones that really want it, but for most temptation will be too much. So yes dear Kris, moving the already criminally challenged to North Minneapolis is just as dumb!

When all else fails, talk fast and raise fear!
Kris Brogan has taken out an old play from her Republican campaign days! When you have nothing else to run on, run on fear, talk fast and say nothing!
One of the biggest issues Kris Brogan wants to scare 4th ward residents with is the supposed "Flow of residents out of north Minneapolis". The flow of North Minneapolis residents out of the area? Now where did this come from? Is there a study that says people are fleeing our neighborhoods? From what we can see neighborhoods are flourishing and homes are selling for far more then they have since the foreclosure crisis! Neighborhood block clubs are at an all time high, Facebook neighborhood connections are stronger then ever, people are helping each other with issues and reaching out to each other, heck even Kris Brogans house got a water garden free of charge to beautify it.
Oh the Kris Brogan web page she has a list of issues. The big one being "Gun violence" and Kris has set down five ideas on how she would solve gun violence.....most of it sounds like something we have heard or seen before! lets review it line by line:
like the programs and CPS already working in North Minneapolis such as the three CPS (crime prevention specialists) that we have in the 4th precinct? Programs such as the C.O.P pilot program, the Nuisance property program, are these the ideas Kris Brogan is talking about? Because they are already working, already proving how effective these current programs already are- What is the plan then Kris? You want credit for something already working?
2). The City, should be funding teams of community organizers who can be out in the neighborhoods every day building relationships, identifying livability issues, and creating opportunities for creative dialogue to address livability issues.
A). Would these be more non profits, that would suck up community money? Who would pay for this? Don't we already have a load of nonprofits in the Northside working on livability issues? Are these code words for MORE LOW INCOME HOUSING?
3). There are other important partnerships that we, the City, should be developing including reaching out to known gang leaders and repeat offenders. Since the City has identified the six crime families in our community it is time to bring them in and start the process to end criminal activity. Our partnership with Hennepin County in these matters needs to be strengthened. Access to the community resources is needed to reach out to these families.
A). Clearly Kris Brogan has not done her homework on this issue either! The City has not identified six crime families, A candidate for mayor claims to have done this and now there is NO WORD on it any more! Court Watch has been working hard with Hennepin County and the prosecutors and judges. Where does Kris think ideas like "identifying the six crime family's" has come from? Who does Kris Brogan believe has put in all the foot work already to start working with the crime in North? This is another not so new idea Kris! Kris Brogan we call on you to NAME the six family's? Can you even name three???
4). It is time to revisit gun buy-back programs. While there are pros and cons to these types of programs there are benefits beyond just the surrender of weapons that can bring community together. It is time to reconsider this program, the type of “currency” used to pay for the weapons, and the public benefit.
A). Again, take an idea already working and make it your own! Is this what we can expect from Kris Brogan?
5). The reporting of criminal activity needs to happen faster. The 911 operators need more training to help them identify the need for public safety response. There need to be more 911 operators during peak call times
A). Is Kris Brogan even awake? Does she understand that 911 operators are not city employee's? Does she understand that the 911 system is currently working with the C.O.P pilot program that is working, training operators to do the very things Kris Brogan is trying to spoon feed back as "New Ideas" ? 911 is ACTIVLY AT THE TABLE ALREADY!
This is pretty simple to follow lady's and gentleman~!- Kris Brogan is MAD that her business failed, she has said so herself in print, she is mad that while Papa's Pizza was falling apart smarter, better business people like Emily's, Victory 44, and Ngyia all where making a go of it! Now Kris Brogan because of her anger wants to try and scare the good people of North Minneapolis and shame them into voting for her so she can as she put it, "get Mick on a health insurance plan". Kris Brogan has set her gang out to try and stir up anger and fear like Dr. Robby trying to manipulate facts that somehow our current city council person has something to do with the orchestra ordeal?? Really? If he had half an ounce of testicular fortitude he would walk up to her and ask this question himself!
Read what Kris Brogan really does not say when you are reading her facebook posts or her web site posts. Its always "I'm the only one willing to debate", "I'm the one that can fix this", and when all else fails Kris Brogan pulls out her republican instinct and says "People are fleeing the North side!".

Back in the saddle again
Once again Kris Brogan has stirred the pot on Facebook! Shortly before putting out a post of her own, the local neighborhood office had posted a statement that the Minneapolis Regulatory services had put out, see below:
A new initiative sponsored by the Department of Regulatory Services in partnership with neighborhood associations and participating businesses throughout the city.
The City wants to partner with residents, neighborhood associations and local businesses to help make our neighborhoods a safe and clean place to live. Starting October 15, inspectors from the Department of Regulatory Services will be going out into your neighborhood, with a special focus on vacant properties or properties with repeated nuisance violations. ...
Do your part to tidy up your yards and alleys by:
• Picking up and removing rubbish, old tires, and litter in yards & alleys.
• Trimming bushes and trees that hang into the alley, sidewalk or street.
• Removing volunteer trees and bushes from alleys and around the foundations of buildings.
• Removing inoperable vehicles from your property (including unlicensed vehicles) or storing them in an enclosed garage.
This is all part of our “All Together Now!” neighborhood fall yard cleanup pilot initiative we hope to extend throughout the city in the future. By taking care of your property now, you’ll not only make the neighborhood a better place, but City inspectors won’t have to follow up with any written orders.
How we can help:
We’ve contacted a number of local businesses who agreed to provide discounts on things that will help you spruce up your property as part of the cleanup. Visit our website at www.minneapolismn.gov/
So go out and check your property for any improvements that need to be done before we come through and issue orders. If you do get an order from the city, take in your order to a participating business and get a discount on supplies that will help you correct it before a reinspection.

You see if Kris Brogan can make the voting public think there is a problem with city services she can then not only get them to vote for her but once in office Kris could make those same people believe she fixed a problem that never was! On every North Minneapolis FB page we read there are always complaints about mattresses, garbage, over grown lots, trash blowing around lots and on and on it goes! Now the Regulatory Services has come up with a plan of action, they even refer to it as "a pilot program" in their statement, to clean things up and make it as easy on home owners as possible and STILL Kris Brogan stirs the pot and makes it out to be a bad thing!
If your not convinced Kris Brogan wanted to stir the pot, or that her post was a negative thing please take a look at how quickly and negatively the Kris Brogan Gang jumped on board with their sly yet negative remarks! We have posted a few below.

As we said, its clear from the start that Kris Brogan saw an opportunity to make this about her and to make Regulative Services the bad guy- Kris does not post this as a community announcement or as a member of the ViNa board, she does not post it as an FYI from the ViNa board, she simply posts it as facts and then leaves out the important wording that would have told people that this was a very good thing coming to North Minneapolis, this was the very thing even Duane Atter has complained about on FB posts that contain complaints about how slow Regulatory Services were to help clean up the north side but now he wants us to believe its about making money-evil- bad- negative!
Its clear Kris Brogan does not have a platform to stand on in this election so she is going to run on fear and when the opportunity presents its self she will twist the good deeds to make them work for her and silly followers like Duane will mossy closely behind Kris Brogan like a calf to slaughter!

Can we talk about Foreclosures?
Can we talk about Foreclosures? Since Kris Brogan brought up the topic on her page we thought it was a good time to go over some facts and figures about foreclosure using logic. As is typical with all things Brogan, Kris chose to drop some numbers and leave the door open that things are worse then they are.
Ok- lets start with a quote from Judge Judy, "If it does not make sense its not true!" and in this case if all the facts are not presented how can we know what makes sense?

"Kris Brogan:
The latest City of Minneapolis Trends Report is now available. Good news and bad news regarding foreclosures: This quarter 216 properties were sold at public
auction, 30.5 percent fewer than the previous quarter, and 46.7 percent fewer than second quarter 2012. This is lowest count recorded since Minneapolis Trends began reporting foreclosures in 2006. Wards 4, 5, 8, and 9 accounted for more than 50 percent of total foreclosures in the city, with Ward 4 accounting for about 25 percent of the total. Sadly the 4th Ward continues to be #1 in foreclosures."
Let start with some facts. The first being that we all know foreclosures take lots of "real" time from start to finish. Kris Brogan knows this fact as she has had a home foreclosure. The process starts and once all documents are in place and the foreclosure is in effect the home owner has a six month redemption period, Kris knows this also as she had the same period. If at the end of that six months the residents of the home have not left the mortgage holder is forced into more legal action that of course takes more "real" time, again Kris knows this, she didn't leave on her own free will either and was forced out. So from start to finish its safe to say that a foreclosure can take 6, 8, even 10 months of real time from start to finish. This being said the numbers and percentages Kris Brogan posted, logically are not reflective of the current quarters foreclosures.
Second, Kris Brogan ends her post with "Sadly the 4th Ward continues to be #1 in foreclosures" - yes Kris that is sad, however lets also look at the fact that the current city council member back in 2007 (6 years ago) not only noticed there was bad mortgage deals going on but gathered the evidence, handed it over to Feds. and testified against them! At this same time Mick and Kris Brogan opted to strip the equity in their south Minneapolis home and start a business. Kris having worked in the world of mortgages and realty certainly cant claim ignorance of bad loans on this one! So while the current administration was fighting to stop illegal lending practices and educate home owners on these nasty lending practice of stripping equity out of homes, a well educated in mortgages and home loans Kris Brogan was out stripping her equity? Make sense?
Today as Kris Brogan chooses to stand in judgment of the number of foreclosures in North Minneapolis with the blood of her own foreclosure still dripping from her hands she wants us to believe that the numbers she has posted are some how reflecting that the current administration didn't do enough or hasn't done enough to stop or slow down these numbers? Of course Kris makes no mention of any dealings she has had in "selling North Minneapolis" during this time!
Third, typical of Kris Brogan, when she posted the numbers above she left out a few key facts! The most important being that since the numbers are "Trend Reports" they are composed to show a direction, a way that the markets are heading in other words its like a stop light on the corner- it has stop, slow, and go, it does not tell us anything more then that, it does not tell us if there is a reason traffic is slow or at a dead stop. The Trends Report shows that foreclosures are either going up, down, or the same. It also does not tell us that the 4th ward was the target for most of the above mentioned fraudulent mortgage deals because of its size and the number of low income homeowners! One would not expect a lot of home foreclosures in say, Downtown Minneapolis or industrial areas would they?
One last thing, Kris Brogan who we have reported before works in bringing low income housing and residential housing to the north side has been doing so for many years. She knows the neighborhoods inside and out, that's what she wants her clients to think anyway. So once again using logical thinking, someone working in realty and mortgages on the north side of Minneapolis especially during the time so many people were targeted for fraudulent mortgages would have been alert to these problems back in 2007? Wouldn't you logically think that when Mick and Kris Brogan went to take out a home equity loan to start Papa's Pizza that Kris Brogan would have been on high alert as to how not to loose their south Minneapolis home to a bad loan? Logical thinking would tell us Kris and Mick Brogan had only one intention when taking out that home loan and that was to strip the equity and leave the mortgage company holding the bag! Once again standing in her favorite place as the VICTIM, It is stunts like this that cause mortgage rates to raise isn't it?
Let start with some facts. The first being that we all know foreclosures take lots of "real" time from start to finish. Kris Brogan knows this fact as she has had a home foreclosure. The process starts and once all documents are in place and the foreclosure is in effect the home owner has a six month redemption period, Kris knows this also as she had the same period. If at the end of that six months the residents of the home have not left the mortgage holder is forced into more legal action that of course takes more "real" time, again Kris knows this, she didn't leave on her own free will either and was forced out. So from start to finish its safe to say that a foreclosure can take 6, 8, even 10 months of real time from start to finish. This being said the numbers and percentages Kris Brogan posted, logically are not reflective of the current quarters foreclosures.
Second, Kris Brogan ends her post with "Sadly the 4th Ward continues to be #1 in foreclosures" - yes Kris that is sad, however lets also look at the fact that the current city council member back in 2007 (6 years ago) not only noticed there was bad mortgage deals going on but gathered the evidence, handed it over to Feds. and testified against them! At this same time Mick and Kris Brogan opted to strip the equity in their south Minneapolis home and start a business. Kris having worked in the world of mortgages and realty certainly cant claim ignorance of bad loans on this one! So while the current administration was fighting to stop illegal lending practices and educate home owners on these nasty lending practice of stripping equity out of homes, a well educated in mortgages and home loans Kris Brogan was out stripping her equity? Make sense?
Today as Kris Brogan chooses to stand in judgment of the number of foreclosures in North Minneapolis with the blood of her own foreclosure still dripping from her hands she wants us to believe that the numbers she has posted are some how reflecting that the current administration didn't do enough or hasn't done enough to stop or slow down these numbers? Of course Kris makes no mention of any dealings she has had in "selling North Minneapolis" during this time!
Third, typical of Kris Brogan, when she posted the numbers above she left out a few key facts! The most important being that since the numbers are "Trend Reports" they are composed to show a direction, a way that the markets are heading in other words its like a stop light on the corner- it has stop, slow, and go, it does not tell us anything more then that, it does not tell us if there is a reason traffic is slow or at a dead stop. The Trends Report shows that foreclosures are either going up, down, or the same. It also does not tell us that the 4th ward was the target for most of the above mentioned fraudulent mortgage deals because of its size and the number of low income homeowners! One would not expect a lot of home foreclosures in say, Downtown Minneapolis or industrial areas would they?
One last thing, Kris Brogan who we have reported before works in bringing low income housing and residential housing to the north side has been doing so for many years. She knows the neighborhoods inside and out, that's what she wants her clients to think anyway. So once again using logical thinking, someone working in realty and mortgages on the north side of Minneapolis especially during the time so many people were targeted for fraudulent mortgages would have been alert to these problems back in 2007? Wouldn't you logically think that when Mick and Kris Brogan went to take out a home equity loan to start Papa's Pizza that Kris Brogan would have been on high alert as to how not to loose their south Minneapolis home to a bad loan? Whats the diff?
So what's the difference between being a mouth piece for a campaign and being the TBF blogger? We here at The Brogan Files had a mission, a mission that had nothing to do with any campaign or person. We started The Brogan Files as a blog, we could have just as easily started out on Facebook or another social media site. We wanted to get our message out and the facts that we knew about Kris Brogan and gang so that people could make their own decisions. In no way did we want to be in your face with our message or attempt to persuade people to see it our way by intimidation.
Being a mouth piece for a campaign such as Kris Brogans fan club has is totally different in that if people don't want to read The Brogan Files they don't have to even see our page, unless the pocket rat posts it on Facebook over and over. Going on social media and continually haranguing other candidates without once supplying information as to what your campaign will bring to the table is being a mouth piece!
Not once on Facebook or their election page has anyone including Kris Brogan ever spoke to what exactly she will do to clean up North Minneapolis. Her campaign page simply says-
"I believe in this community and will use my experience as a small business owner, mother and community developer to bring much needed investment to North Minneapolis. We deserve opportunities that engage and educate our youngest residents; opportunities to keep our money local through a variety of business options; and opportunities that allow for stable housing for all of our neighbors. My vision for the Fourth Ward is a community that is inclusive, welcoming and safe- one that is thriving, moving forward and bursting with opportunity."
But we ask, "Oh yeah, how?" what will you do differently then the current administration? How will you make this happen? These seem like pretty simple questions to answers if you are running for office....so why not concentrate on answering this type of question rather then taking the low road and attacking the other candidate via your mouth pieces on Facebook? Why not put out a full page on your election page explaining how you will make this happen, what your plan is? To us it is like sitting at home screaming at the Vikings- not much comes of it!
Nothing in politics gets done over night. It can take years to even make the needed connections a politician needs to be recognized and to get major things done to better any part of a constituency. That being put out there, how does Kris Brogan, who admittedly has a failed business in north Minneapolis, admittedly has had a failed run for office in South Minneapolis, and proof shows she is not easy to work with, think she is going to bounce into the city council seat and wave a magic wand to make the North side better? Some day the north side will have no choice but to look at electing a new city council member, nobody works or lives forever and that's just the facts of life, why would Kris Brogan not work with our current city council members with some of her grand ideas to change things in the north side and make a name for herself in this way rather then making a name for herself in bankruptcy courts, failed business foreclosures, and continually selling out the homeowners in North for more and more low income housing? The facts speak for themselves when it comes to Kris Brogans past and what she has done [to] for the people of the fourth ward.
As we at The Brogan Files see it Kris Brogan has not put the right foot forward with her campaign! She started on the wrong foot by seeking the DFL nomination and claiming if she failed to do so she would step aside and then coming out still in the race! This simply reinforced the belief that Kris Brogan is not a truthful person, it showed that Kris Brogan will go to any lengths to get what she wants and not do what is right for the community! If Kris Brogan never intended to abide by the DFL nomination then why did she even seek it? Why not just announce she would run for office and stand on that platform, rather then being involved in the weeks and weeks of planning and then again announcing she would step down at the convention. Continuing to allow her mouth pieces free reign on social media sites to rip into the current council person also shows lack of what it takes to be a public official and finally, Kris Brogans little stunt with the debate for the 4th ward was the icing on the cake that Kris Brogan and gang are willing to roll in the mud of the low road every time to get what they want!

Kris Brogan and gang are all mouth, they are what you pick out as an example of what not be or do in a small community and as they continue with their message that Kris Brogan is some how the victim, somehow the underdog, or somehow the best thing for north Minneapolis by their continued negative Facebook posts and attacks please ask yourself how Kris Brogan will represent all of her constituents in public with this type of behavior? Will Kris and gang make public attacks on other council members or the mayor when they don't follow her directions? It's clear the best way to determine how a person will represent us in office is by looking at how they represented themselves in the election process!
