I'm sure by now that everyone reading this blog has seen and read the Camden News that came in the mail yesterday. We were shocked to see such an expensive ad by the Kris Brogan gang in the paper. We couldn't help but wonder what the cost of an ad that size and in color no less would cost? Remember the old campaign debt Kris Brogan has been carrying all these years was to a printer...so did Camden News get paid in advance for this costly ad? Will they get paid if not? One has to wonder about these things with a history for non payment of bills like Kris Brogan has!
In the ad Kris Brogan claims, "We need a leader who puts our neighborhoods and residents first" and we have to wonder what the hell that means? The current council person has not only fought for the residents of the forth ward but also fought for residents of the third ward when needed. In the middle of investigating the signatures on Kris Brogans petition we asked the question, "What are Kris and Mick Brogan so mad about?" one of the answers we got was, "Kris and Mick are mad that their business, Papa's Pizza failed and they blame the city, they blame the county, and they blame the residents of North Minneapolis." We were reminded of the letter Kris Brogan put in the local rag about residents of North Minneapolis needing to support her business.
Kris Brogan also notes in her ad that she wants to "turn those empty lots into healthy homes for good families". Once again Kris Brogans track record does not show that this is what she will do, her track record shows that she will sell out the north side time and time again for agency's wanting to move felons and other unsavory people into north Minneapolis. Kris Brogan has made her money selling out the homeowners of North Minneapolis to companies like RS Eden who although provide a needed service, have concentrated their troubled tenants in North Minneapolis. Kris Brogan has not spent her time trying to find ways to build quality, affordable single family homes in North Minneapolis!
Good Jobs the ad claims, but once again we turn to Kris Brogans history in the creating jobs arena and are reminded that when starting Papa's Pizza Kris and Mick Brogan choose to do things their way rather then listen to those people in the know in North Minneapolis. When the business was failing and residents called for pizza delivery, Kris Brogan waited until it was way to late to implement this service! When questioned early on about why Papas didn't offer deliver Kris Brogan stated, "Because Mick and I want the people of North Minneapolis to come to the shop and eat outside, its the only way to take back North Minneapolis" at the time the Brogans didn't even live in North Minneapolis and yet they choose to tell the residents what they needed rather then ask them what they wanted. We truly believe this is another example of how Kris Brogan would run the ward, she would tell us what we need rather then ask us what we wanted!
It remains interesting to us that Kris Brogan fresh off a failed business, fresh our of bankruptcy court, and with a recent home foreclosure is running for city council? One resident of North Minneapolis claims to have been told Kris Brogan it was "Because Mick needs health insurance is the big reason", if this is true we can think of a dozen ways to health insurance that does not involve the city of Minneapolis and the tax payers paying for it!

The Petition
After receiving a public copy of the petition Kris Brogan filed to be placed on Novembers election ballet we started to dig in and look at how some of these people ended up on this petition. Why you might ask? The answer is an easy one, we knew quite a few names on the petition and it didn't match what people were saying in public, thus a cause for question! We met with a fair sampling of people on the petition and this is an example of what we found.
One gentleman on the petition who we know very well we met with over coffee. He was very concerned by this because although he signed the petition, it was not what he was told he was signing! In his words, "I was approached by a short very heavy set lady in public, not at my house and was asked if I wanted to see major changes to the 4th ward as far as crime went. When I said yes she asked me to sign her petition, she never once told me it was for Kris. I have had nothing against Kris up until now but the fact is I was supporting another candidate, I even went to caucus for the other candidate."
A long time female resident of North Minneapolis told us her story; " I answered my door one evening to a gentleman that I've known to be a good guy. He told me that they had a petition they needed signatures on to send a message to city hall that the residents wanted better protection from crime in North Minneapolis. Nothing was ever said about it being to get Ms. Brogan on the ticket. I was asked if I would consider listening to what she (Kris Brogan) had to say and I said I would but that I knew who I was voting for come November, I thought he got the picture I was not voting for Ms. Brogan in November. He kept asking me if anyone else in my house was 18 years old or older that I could sign them up also, He knew I was the only one living here."
It is examples like the ones above that speak volumes about Kris Brogan and her campaign staff. They believe they are above the law. Recently on a public form another one of Kris Brogans campaign staff told the readers that Kris Brogan never said she would call off her campaign if she didn't receive the DFL nomination. This of course being a flat out lie, Kris stood before the caucus delegates and said she would abide by the DFL nomination process. Now that Kris Brogan didn't get the nod she is changing the tune she dances to, much like her run in South Minneapolis as a Republican! When Kris couldn't make it into office as a republican in South Minneapolis she runs as democrat in North Minneapolis? What's next a run in Northeast Minneapolis for the Green party?
We put this all out here once again so everyone can see the antics of Kris Brogan and her band of merry misfits. Their game is not on the up and up and its certainly not what we want to represent us in North Minneapolis!

More Brogan Trouble in the neighborhood
Once again Kris Brogan has stirred the pot of trouble in Victory and left the pot to boil over as is her style anyway. We want to point this out so the people that believe Kris Brogan has her heart in the right place can begin to see a pattern!

She let that pot boil over as people became enraged for the wrong reasons. This is the type of community leadership we DON'T need in North Minneapolis.
Several times we have witnessed Kris Brogan stir up anger and rage with the North Mpls community and then allow the pot to boil over. That we know of yet, nobody has been killed because of it but we believe its just a matter of time before people are pushed too far and something bad comes of it all because Kris Brogan chooses to run her show in the way.

Kris Brogan, The No, No Check List
We have created this No, No check list for you so you can keep the Brogan Gang lies in context. Please feel free to check it out and then print it out and share it with the couple of people Kris Brogan seems to buffalo!
[ ] Kris Brogan was told not to open Papa's Pizza on 42nd and Thomas. She was told the Victory location was better. Victory 44 moved into that location and are still a go! Papa's Pizza is dead.
[ ] Kris Brogan and Gang almost chase an auto repair business out of the 42nd and Thomas corner because Mick and Kris believed that corner was hers! She even sent out a neighborhood e-mail calling for neighbors to call 311 anytime a customer parked on the street!
[ ] Kris said she would drop her campaign if she did not receive the DFL nomination. She lost in the first round of voting by a LARGE percentage and still didn't hold true to her word, we call that LYING!
[ ] Kris Brogan brought companies that ship in low income and freshly released felons to North Minneapolis when she voted to move the RS Eden building to Broadway.
[ ] Kris Brogan has brought other low income buildings to North Mpls with her consulting company...its been her number one money maker!
[ ] Kris Brogan while on the ViNa Board allowed fellow board members to not only vote on buying Papa's gift certificates, she sold them to them knowing Papa's had days to shut down! ViNa spent public money on these worthless gift cards...tax payers money? SURE THING!
[ ] Kris Brogan knew that two board members of the ViNa board also were investors in Papa's Pizza and never said a word when they were allowed to vote on the defunked Papa's gift cards using tax payer money!
[ ] Kris and Mick Brogan never paid the state the child support they held out of employee checks, in fact they included it in their bankruptcy! More tax payers money at work for the Brogan Gang!
[ ] Kris Brogan has sworn in publications to LOVE north Mpls but her first choice to buy a home was South Mpls! Remember it took the Hennepin Co. Sheriffs office to remove them from that house. Yet again more of our tax payer money used for the Brogan Gang!
[ ] Kris Brogan ran for public office before...as a republican and still to this day carries a campaign debt on that run! Why didn't this get paid off? It was to a union contractor, why not pay up?

So what now?
Well some research brought us the petition Kris Brogan had her minions pass around, amazingly most of the signatures are Victory neighbors and not representative of the whole of North Minneapolis.
We still have not seen ANY endorsements from past or present clients, co-workers, and/or bosses! We have not seen any endorsements from any current elected officials and all we do know about the Kris Brogan plan of attack on North Minneapolis is more low income housing so we can bus in more and more low income residents from the rest of the city. In other words more of the same from Kris Brogan Consulting!

The Kris Brogan team talking about the north side falling apart reminds us that it was Kris Brogan while on the board of RS Eden that brought more offenders into North, it was Kris Brogan who's consulting business worked tirelessly to bring in more low income housing like RS Eden has in Lyndale and Lowry. Kris and Mick Brogan brought us Papa's Pizza and told us we didn't need delivered pizza in north, that we all needed to pack into their store, buy their gift cards that are of no value, and eat our pizza on a street corner and that would solve the problems of North Minneapolis. Well the people of North spoke and said that was not what they wanted....Papa's closed! If you remember correctly as Papa's ship was sinking instead of listening to what others who have made a go of the restraint business in north, Kris Brogan blasted the residents, telling us it was all our fault Papa's was sinking fast and we all needed to jump on the support band wagon and buy gift certificates.....is this what we can expect from Kris Brogan at city hall? I'm sure it is!
So as our summer days fast approach the fall elections season we need to keep lessons in mind that we have already learned from the Brogan Gang, we need to remember that Kris Brogans success in life have always come at a cost to other, I remind you of the failed south Mpls mortgage they maxed out and then let go back to the bank, Papa's Pizza that went belly up owing investors from the neighborhood $2,000.00 each and that does not even take into account the many, many other businesses that got the financial screw job! And where were Mick and Kris Brogan? surely they were not out working two or three jobs to pay these people back, NO- they were hosting music concerts like big shots! Kris Brogan was begging for more of your hard earned money to run for office once again! These are not the actions of poor humbled people trying to make an honest living in North Mpls, NOPE Kris and Micky Brogan are leaches on the north side of Minneapolis looking for a pay check and that folks is why Kris Brogan is running for office! Its a paycheck folks and once again her hand is in your pocket!
Election day will soon be upon us, will me make the right choice? Print out the check list in the coming post to remind yourself why a vote for Kris Brogan is just a real bad choice!

Total eclipse
The total eclipse today took place in Webber park as our ever busy body, Kris Brogan did everything in her power to circle between truth and reality! Even before gracing the neighborhood with her presence at the Webber Park ground breaking Kris was on social media declaring the exact same statements our current city council person had already put out on the same pages the day before....the tacky, typical Kris Brogan part was she didn't have the nerve to just share someone else's post, or in fact even extend the same invite! Hell she did what she always does, she took someone else's idea and made it all about KRIS BROGAN!
From our view at the ground breaking it was an eclipse of the sun as we stood behind Kris Brogan and got a good ear full of how important she truly believes she is to North Minneapolis! From our view it was clear Kris Brogan is a political leach, she latches on to other peoples political stances and policies and makes them her own....as though new and fresh. Kris Brogan needs to sell this new pizza here to the residents of North Minneapolis, the new save North Mpls and clean up the problems pizza that many, many people before her have worked hard at. Its a shame there is never any credit out Kris Brogans mouth for the dedicated hard work from everyone else, or maybe even a little credit for the ideas that she makes her own? But then again Kris Brogan is now a publicly known liar so who would believe her? Remember when she stood up at the DFL convention and said she would respect the caucus and step out of the race if she was not chosen?? From our reports she said it twice and well- LIE

What would it look like?
We need only look back at the history of Kris Brogan both in her affairs working for the city, her current business of bringing low income housing to North Minneapolis, and of course the failed Papa's Pizza to understand how things would look should Kris Brogan win the fall election.
When Papa's pizza was at its height of business it couldn't keep up with paying its bills. Rather then take the advice of well intentioned business people around her, Kris Brogan insisted on it being done her way! There was no other way as this is her personality! When working for the mayor of Minneapolis it was clear Kris Brogan would step on anyone's head, or throat in some cases to get done what she wanted or needed to get done that was on her agenda, not always inline with the agenda of her boss. Several co-workers paid the price for this behavior. When you look at her current agenda of bringing low income housing to North Minneapolis and you follow the money trail it leads to the people who support her and keep her small consulting business up and running, not the home owners of North Minneapolis that's for sure!
One can look back at several of the posts here on The Brogan Files to see who got screwed over when Mick and Kris Brogan went belly up at Papa's pizza and Deli. Look at the baby momma that lost out on back child support because it was never paid to the state as Kris and Mick said they would do when they opened a business in MN.
Kris told the entire audience at the caucus that if she didn't get the DFL nod that day that she would close her campaign and bow out....again more lies! So how would we believe anything on the Kris Brogan campaign check list would get done if we sent her to city hall? How would we believe she could be part of handling a budget the size of the city's and not end up owing everyone and their brother because she is a bad money manager? Would they foreclose on the city like they did on Kris Brogans south Minneapolis home? We believe how a person runs their home life and home finances is directly related to how they will run the city, Kris Brogan would be a disaster of a city council member!
A final thought is how the Victory Neighborhood Association have paid the price for having Kris Brogan on their board. Remember the board also had two-three other members of the board that voted to buy the now no good Papa's Pizza gift cards, these same people where investors that got screwed when they invested $2,000 a pop into the now bankrupt and closed Papa's Pizza and Kris Brogan sat in those meetings knowing Papa's was going out of business and never said a word to discourage the sale of these worthless gift cards. This type of sleazy business dealings show a pattern of how Kris Brogan would work out as the city council person for all of us in this ward, it shows that she has no problem selling out her neighbors and neighborhood association for a couple of bucks, why wouldn't she sell us out at the city level? she has no shame about the local sell out, she sure as hell wont have a problem selling us out to the city for a monthly pay check!

Remember the board also had two-three other members of the board that voted to buy the now no good Papa's Pizza gift cards, these same people where investors that got screwed when they invested $2,000 a pop into the now bankrupt and closed Papa's Pizza and Kris Brogan sat in those meetings knowing Papa's was going out of business and never said a word to discourage the sale of these worthless gift cards. This type of sleazy business dealings show a pattern of how Kris Brogan would work out as the city council person for all of us in this ward, it shows that she has no problem selling out her neighbors and neighborhood association for a couple of bucks, why wouldn't she sell us out at the city level? she has no shame about the local sell out, she sure as hell wont have a problem selling us out to the city for a monthly pay check!

How do you know Kris Brogan is lying?
We its easy, her lips are moving! We called it here first people, Kris Brogan filed to be on the ballet yesterday! After taking part in the planning and setting up of the DFL caucus Kris Brogan stood before the entire group and stated she would not run if she didn't get the votes to receive the DFL nomination. As we all know Kris Brogan did not receive anywhere close to enough votes to receive the nomination, on the first round of voting by caucus delegates Kris Brogan didn't even get 70 votes! Shortly after finding out she had failed to get the nomination Kris Brogan again said she would step aside and allow the DFL's nominated candidate to run.....yet Kris Brogan never backed out as that would require grace.
This is not the first lie of Kris Brogans that's for sure, we have reported right her on The Brogan Files her lies and yet Kris continued to defend herself in public stating The Brogan Files had it all wrong....hum, Kris I believe you just proved our point!
So what's next? All along The Kris Brogan Gang has been out in force trying to get the vote for city council person by trying to scare the good people of North Minneapolis. Kris Brogan and gang have tried to blame everyone else for the failure of the now closed and bankrupt Papa's Pizza.
Rumor on the streets of North Minneapolis is that Kris and Mick Brogan are deeper in debt today then they were when Papa's was open. The scoop is that unless Mick or Kris Brogan can find a way to generate a lot more income they will once again loose their house on Thomas! Remember Kris and Mick are kind of pro's at loosing property to foreclosure. This is what's driving Kris Brogan to run for city council, and not because she thinks she can change anything in north.
We spoke to a current city council member from another ward who said "Lord if she were to win I'm not sure any of us would be able to work with her, she couldn't get along with people in the mayors office when she worked there!" Kris Brogan spent a few years working for Mayor Belton but has yet to receive the nod from the former mayor in support of her run for city council! We have spoke to former co-workers from the mayors office who informed us how difficult it was to work with Kris Brogan.
So hold on to your hats folks as Tornado Brogan is back in full force and short of someone dropping a house on her I believe we here at The Brogan Files will have a lot to report in the coming days!

Did we call it or what?
Last night at the gathering and on national night out the air was thick with more of the Brogan game!!The big topic was Kris Brogan sending people door to door, mostly in the Victory neighborhood to gather signatures on a petition. Neighbors could not wait to tell other neighbors how Kris Brogan once again broke her word~! It had been noted by many that Kris Brogan had reared her ugly head once again on most of the major North Minneapolis Facebook pages as of late and he opinions were stronger than ever!
We did a little research and found out that Kris Brogan is looking for 175 signatures to form a "grass roots" campaign for city council. Are we the only ones that remember Kris Brogan saying if she didn't win an endorsement at the caucus she would drop out?? We have heard her say this a few times in May and June of this year but of course we never believed a word out of Kris Brogans mouth!
Word on the street is that Kris Brogan will justify her lies to drop out, with this new petition, saying that its what the people want when in reality its was Kris Brogan pushing people to get out and get the signatures! The other part of this is that if she gets the signatures by Monday night she wont have to pay the $20 for the filing fee, and we all know that money is a big issue for the Brogan Gang!
So the Brogan Gang has been hard at it all along, just as we here at the Brogan Files have suspected all along! Get ready folks, get your knee high rubber boots on as with every time Kris Brogan and her gang start talking its about to get deep in North Minneapolis again with the bull!
