The Brogan Loans

Well as promised here is a list of some of the people that are backing Kris Brogan and their loan amounts. Why on earth you would keep betting on a losing horse is beyond me.
It all started with a letter Mick and Kris Brogan sent out asking for help to keep Papa's open. It was an original idea i will give it that, however with the Brogans history with payments it was a bad bet that's for sure.

1. Rob Jacoby and Duane Atter      $1,000.00  but we understand there are other loans by these two.
2. Janet Zahn and Jeff Moe:            $1,000.00- We thought she had to have help to open her own music school??
3. John & Janet Beecher:                 $1,000.00
4. James and Bonnie Erickson         $1,000.00- Friends from the old neighborhood!

 

 

This is a small few of the people the Brogans owe money to, there are quite a few other good North Minneapolis people on the list that we can publish later but they don't seem to have the tight connection as the few we have listed. Tomorrow we are looking into the Warren and the connection to the Brogan Clan, It will be worth it to stop back and check out what we found!

Unpaid Child Support??

So if you have read the entire bankruptcy you now know that Mick and Kris Brogan collected child support for the state of Minnesota and never sent it in. How can this happen we wonder?Lets start with the fact that Mick and Kris Brogan listed on their bankruptcy that they owe $12,538.88 to the Minnesota Child Support Payment Center in St. Paul MN. This clearly was not just the funds collected from one or two pay checks, it has to be a much longer period of time they collected the funds and didn't send them into the state of MN? Who at Papa's pizza was making the kind of money that would require over twelve thousand dollars to be with held? Then there is always the question of why didn't the money get sent to the state in a timely fashion?? Clearly someones baby momma didn't get pamper money for a long time!! Once again it shows how Kris Brogan does business!Even the unpaid electric bill to Excel Energy was only $3,777.13 it would make one wonder if this is an unpaid debt of their son's child support or is there something fishy in the books here too??

Since we have been turned on to the North Talk Facebook site we have made a lot of connection with who the Kris Brogan supporters are and we compared names to the bankruptcy files! Stay tuned tomorrow for a list of who Mick and Kris took loans from to keep the doors of Papa's Pizza open and we will shed some light on why it is Kris Brogan went public to blame the city for the closing of Papa's!

Gift Cards & bad debt a-go-go!

It seems there has been a collection of non redeemable Papa's gift cards! Rumor on the street is that these gift cards will be made into the newest art installation in a very public part of North Minneapolis! Several people seem to have these and have been advised to try and collect on them at the Warren during office hours.

Another important topic has come to light in the area of bad debt. As we have said before there is a history here of the Brogans bad debt. We have found a Hennepin County judgement from 7/25/2002 in the amount of $968.75 from Retailers National Bank and another judgement from 8/29/2009 in the amount of $5,356.04 to Rivercity Financial. One has to wonder how much more bad debt is out there and how many issues Kris Brogan would have with the city of Minneapolis fiance department???

Queen of the Low income high rises in North!

For those of you who have had just about enough of the financial burden of the low income housing projects placed in North Minneapolis we can stand up and pat Kris Brogan on the back for this! Kris has worked tirelessly to get more and more social service project living complexes and Low income housing into North Minneapolis then any other person running for office this year in Minneapolis!

Some of this work is done on the board of RS Eden, a company known for low income housing for newly released offenders, addicts, and alcoholics. They have a nice big newer building on Broadway that Mrs. Brogan played a roll in and two projects on Lyndale and Lowry Avenue North. You know the ones, they have the people sitting around on the retaining wall as you walk by....the ones with the garbage blowing around the front yard and into the street, yep that's two more of her pet projects. That does not include her work with Alliance Housing and the low income projects they have brought into this neighborhood.

North Minneapolis has long been the target of company's like RS Eden and Alliance Housing that believe because of the issues here they can move in with a lot less resistance then say Edina or Richfield or for that matter other parts of Minneapolis with higher tax bases! Yes sir, Kris Brogan has been a huge advocate in bringing these places right into your back yard and has made her living doing so!

• Take swift action and be relentless in our efforts to address problem properties

So what do you think she has in mind for these empty lots next to you and I and just about everyone else we know in North Minneapolis? Do you think she will change her ways and put in homes that have equal value to yours? Do you think Mr. and Mrs Smith from out of town are going to move their family in next door? My bet is its going to be more of the same, more low income program type buildings!

Makes one wonder if that's why she does not want the Salvation Army in North? There not a client and she is not on their board! But wait, has she come right out and said she didn't want them here? No- i will quote what she wrote on her Facebook page: " The Salvation Army made a good presentation and the neighbors had good questions. This type of community engagement will make our neighborhoods and community stronger! Thanks to everyone for your contributions." Looks like maybe she is just riding the fence on this one, it is after all a potential client and she is running for office!

The House on Thomas Avenue North

So how does one buy a home with in the same time frame as their current home is being foreclosed on?? How does one come up with the money for a down payment on a a $135,000. home in North Minneapolis when the mortgage company just foreclosed on a house in South Minneapolis with a balance owing of $481,094.97? Past due balance at the time the Brogans purchased the North Minneapolis house was $84,135.33......how does one do this??   See figures below

Could the answer to the above question lay in the hands of Kris Brogans brother, Greg Maltby? Greg is not only working on the Brogan campaign but he also works for Mincar. Do a google search and see what it is Greg does at Mincar for some more pieces to the Brogan puzzle!

Papa's Gift cards

Lets try and follow the bouncing ball on the gift card ordeal at Papa's last year. It started with Kris and Mick Brogan announcing they would like to help the local newspaper, Camden News. Keep in mind this is at the same time the pizza joint is failing fast.

Kris and Mick offer Papa's gift cards for sale for a limited time, part of the profit of these sold gift cards will go to Camden News and the rest of course will go to Papa's. Its later announced on the business web page that over a 100 have been sold.

Kris Brogan even places ads in the Camden News asking the community once again to get involved and give support to the community news paper and Papa's. Its even brought up at the ViNA meeting and as its well noted Kris Brogan excuses herself from voting on ViNA buying these gift cards to Papa's because she is an owner, Ann Kaari who is listed in the bankruptcy files for Papa's as an unpaid investor votes at the ViNA meeting to buy up these gift cards and also it should be noted that Duane Atter and his partner are also listed in the bankruptcy as unpaid investors in the failed pizza joint.  CONFLICTS? But nobody would know that these people are investors until the bankruptcy paperwork becomes public so until that time the only way you could get an idea of maybe who was working behind the scenes was to read the menu and see who menu items had been named after.

"Ann Kaari made a request that ViNA purchase 10 Support the Camden News Gift Certificates to be used as prizes at community events. The funds would come from the Community Participation budget. Duane Atter affirmed the motion and Kris Ehlert seconded the motion. The Board approved the motion. Kris Brogan recused herself from the discussion and abstained from the vote. " - minutes submitted by Kris Brogan, Secretary

Its time to dig deeper and see if Camden News received their share of the sale of these gift cards or if the bankruptcy took place first. Stay tuned!

The Money Trail

It seems that Kris and Mick Brogan have gone to the community not once but twice looking for funds to keep their pizza joint open in the past. Some of the people who gave money are listed in the bankruptcy files.....some have given more then once! At the same time Kris Brogan goes on social media and blasts the North Minneapolis community for not supporting local business.....could it be people got so busy investing in the pizza joint that there was NO money left over for a night out? OR in at least one case the Brogans offered an investor free pizza for life! Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for a HUGE donation?

So this begs the question, If the Brogans have just filed a bankruptcy last fall, closed their pizza joint down, and Mick Brogan is on social media stating he just got a part time job, so how are they funding this campaign for the 4th ward election? Are the former investors of the Papa's Pizza funding this campaign too? is this what you call throwing money down a rat hole? More to come!
